Okay, this has
been the only good part of my week so far.

I hate Valentines Day. They should just
call it Pour-Salt-Into-The-Wound-Of-The-Lonely-Guy Day. Course, that
might not look as good on a greeting card.

Well, Hell froze over again. God, this
snow is horrible, I almost miss the scorching summer heat.

I finally broke down and bought a little
graphics tablet. It takes some getting used to, but it’s
a lot of fun.

Well, Firefly, I mean, Dollhouse is
over. Seriously, what was up with all the similarities between the
last episode of Dollhouse and Firefly? “You
will keep a civil tongue...” Ballard dying
suddenly like Wash did in the Serenity movie, and even
the Reaver-eque Butcher antagonists. Still, cool, cool. Good to see
Alpha again, glad he came to the side of good. I never really could
hate him since he was again the Dollhouse. Supposedly the show’s
ending was supposed to lead into Joss’s next project, I’m
not seeing it though.

The Crüxshadows--the greatest band
in the world--had their van broken into on their way back from their
last tours. Any Crüxshadows fans reading this comic, go to their ebay site
and bid on some items to help the band recoup their losses.
I loved the Battle Royale book,
but the movie... I don’t see why it’s a cult classic,
but it’s probably because I read the book first. I understand
you usually can’t put the whole book into a movie, but they
changed too much for no apparent reason. A lot of the book’s
emotion was lost in the movie. That and they had some really good
fight scenes in the book that the movie glossed over.

I finished reading Battle Royale.
An all around good book. The moral of the story seems to be: aim for
the head.
Dollhouse. I’m
still not sure the revelation of the previous episode makes sense.
I mean, some things from season two syncs up with it, but I’m
not sure if season one fits with the big reveal. Bennett’s
death doesn’t fit too well. If they wanted to destroy the Caroline
personality, there are other ways than killing their star scientist.
The villain’s defeat,
disturbingly cool. Though even with the head of Rossum gone, civilization
still fell apart for some reason. Clyde 2.0 is still around so maybe
the head of Rossum has his personality ready to put in another body,
or maybe the other members of Rossum are responsible. Either way,
destroying Topher’s invention was not enough to stop the fall
of man. Oh well, one more episode to come to some kind of conclusion.

I’m about 375 pages into Battle
Royale. Kazuo is a freakin’ Terminator. How is he still
alive? And now he’s gunning down main characters.
And Dollhouse. --the
Hell!?! The ending of that last episode was just... --the Hell!?!
It just goes to show you, never
fall in love in a Joss Whedon show.

I started reading Battle Royale.
Man, what a good book. I think it’s the best thing I’ve
read since Watchmen. I’m nearly two hundred pages into
it and I’ve been on the edge of my seat since page twenty. I
can’t wait to find out what happens next.

I hate New Years. And there’s still
snow on the ground from a week ago. This isn’t right.
