I’ve lived in this town for three non-consecutive years, and even though it has a large park, I have only now found time to go there. Oh, it is nice. I have to go there more often. Next time, I think I ’ll bring my sketch book.

My Crüxshadows obsession has definitely hit full swing by this point. Still, I’m lacking one album (two if you count the one that’s out of print) and two singles. The great news is that they’re touring again. The Immortal Tour! No dates for my area (or most of the US) yet, but it has a name.

I had the chance to see Prince Caspian this weekend. I highly recommend it. They deviated from the book here and there (as movies tend to do) but kept the story close enough. The action was stepped up quite a bit from the first movie (which I know for most is a plus). Also, to my delight, fan-favorite Reepicheep was well handled (and voiced by Eddie Izzard to boot). My only complaint is that some of the accents were so strong that I missed several lines.

Yesterday morning I pulled into the parking lot at work. Just as I was getting out of the car, I heard a car wreck. I ran into the street to check on the woman who saw the worst. Thankfully, she seemed more shaken up than hurt. Before the police arrived, two other people who were “helping” decided to start an argument about what one should and shouldn’t do in such a situation. So the police arrive and here is this poor woman sitting in her smashed car and two men who really aren’t involved in the situation arguing. The officer did his best to ignore the two men and check on the woman’s well being. Don’t you just love people?

My new apartment is starting to look nice. I’ve been accused in the past of being sparce with my home furnishings, so I’m making an effort this time. It is amazing what a little decor can do.
