Legend of the Mist Walker: Magichero

Random Ramblings

Here’s an early update before I head out for my new place. After this, things will be a little… sketchy for a while.

As part of the task of tying up loose ends before the move, I emptied out my box at the comic book store one last time. One of the upsides of this move is that I won’t have a half an hour drive just to buy comics, so maybe I will be able to read them when they come out rather than a couple of months late.

I love the X-Factor series. Peter David is doing a great job. As a loyal Plissken fan, I loved the Snake reference in issue 17. In Astonishing X-Men it looks like Wolverine is doing what he does best… hanging out with an underage girl. Seriously, this is becoming a trend for him. Shadowcat… Jubilee… and Rogue in the movie... and now this Armor girl. Wasteland is still the best read and the story keeps getting better.

Everything’s packed and ready to go. I just wish I were. I hate moving. I’m tempted to just burn everything I have and start fresh. But as much fun as fire is, I can’t afford replace everything I own.

We’re moving! Actually, I’m moving. The comic’s not going anywhere… *cough*

I received the job I interviewed for a few weeks ago so I’m shaking off the dust of this one-horse town and moving to the big city… well, bigger than where I am now. I start my new job on the 30th of April, and I don’t even have an apartment yet. Anyway, just so you know, around that time the updates might be a little off. I’ll play catch up as soon as I settle in to my new place—wherever that is.

Happy Easter to all of the readers of Magichero. I hope everyone had the chance to spend the day with family and friends as I have. Now that the day is coming to a close I can’t help but reflect and ponder the sacrifices one is willing to make for the people he or she loves.

So I’ve finally started reading the book of T. S. Eliot poetry I purchased… last October, I believe. This may sound silly, but I never knew that Eliot wrote Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats. The author of The Waste Land and The Hollow Men also wrote a collection of poetry that was the basis for the most popular musical of all time. Does that seem odd to anyone else?

It seems our server is going to perform some maintenance early Sunday morning. So the comic will be down for a few hours on the 25th. They said a warning message will show at the time.

Magichero has entered into a new era, and not just because of the arrival of the Ivory Knight (though that will have repercussions of its own). After all these years and a call to tech support, I now have DSL. Yes, I know, I’m so behind the times. Nevertheless, I will now be able to upload faster. I know that doesn’t mean much to you, but it is wonderful news for me. And isn’t that what’s really important?
