“I know that these four are not the best we have,” Foray said aside to Rypan.
In truth the four thieves would be lucky not to kill
each other, or themselves. Each one of them had little intelligence
and a large ego. It was a dangerous combination by any standard. Of
course, when a fool has an ego, he is convinced that he is not a fool
and will argue with anyone who says otherwise. |
“Of course they aren’t our
best,” Rypan said. “Their purpose is so that you’ll
have a chance to gauge our hero. Honestly, Foray, if I had thought these
men stood any chance against even a weak Pyromancer, I would have given
them crossbows.” |

Foray looked at the four men once again
with disdain. “I suppose no one said this job was for my own pleasure.” |
