“So we have a magichero,” Rypan said as he and Foray walked down the hallway. The occasional torch lit the roughly hewn walls. “What do we know of this Pyromancer?”

“Very little, not even if he is a he or a she,” Foray said. “Only that this person was at a village in Nastri’s territory last night.”

“And you say no one saw this person even though whoever it was warded off the men?”

“Fear and darkness have long been an asset to us, but not this time,” Foray said. “Not many saw the Pyromancer through the darkness of the night. Those who caught a glimpse of ‘him’ from his fire attacks were too panicked to remember details.”

“I’m in no mood to hear of irony,” Rypan said. “A simple ‘no’ would have done.”
