part 1: The King's Court
August 27, 2004
At the head of the room were two men. |
The first was called Rypan; a name feared
across many lands. Legend claimed that Rypan was born without a heart,
and that his blood only flowed due to his lust for death. Most legends
embellished his deeds, and a few did not give him credit. His eyes were
cold and blue, and his hair long and blond. He made no attempt to appear
intimidating, he didn’t need to. |

The one who possessed the honor of standing
next to the master of thieves was believed to have no name. He was called
Foray. He had the name for so long that most no longer remembered
his birth name. He was a secretive man, a trait of any good thief. |

He wore his brown hair long. A green
mask covered the lower part of his face, and a cloak enshrouded his body.
Other than that, his garb was simple. Many feared Foray and told many
stories of his skill. |
