The city streets were not too crowded that day, but for a peasant boy who had just left the fields, it was unbearable.

On top of that, I had not eaten all day.



I was given many harsh words from the people on the streets as I attempted to stay out of everyone’s way.

I was very unaccustomed to the city, so I didn’t know how to avoid people, and I wasn't sure where to look for food.
